Did you know that when ANWR (Arctic
National Wildlife Refuge) was created, a subsection of the law –
section 1002 – set aside a portion of the northern coastal plain for future
oil production?
Did you know that the area within ANWR – Area 1002 – that is
the potential source of vast oil deposits is already specifically
set aside for oil drilling?
Did you know that the only thing preventing the drilling for oil in
Area 1002 is that Congress (i.e. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi) is
required by the law to "approve" such drilling in
the set aside area?
Now you know.
