Dr. Phil Shuts Down DEI Guest Advocating 'equality Of Outcome:' 'Been Tried, Didn't Work, Called Marxism'

(Fox News) — Dr. Phil clashed with a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) advocate, rejecting her advocacy of equality of outcome as "Marxism."

The host gathered multiple experts to discuss the impact of DEI on American culture on his "Dr. Phil Primetime" show. The guests included two Black men, pastor James Ward Jr. and York College of PA Professor Erec Smith, and one White woman, "HR leader" and DEI advocate Rachel Kargas.

Ward derided how DEI is inconsistently applied to society, asking, "Where are the Asian, Latino, and Hispanic basketball and football players? Where are the Black guys in the National Hockey League?" He went on to argue that America is experiencing a "new civil war" of ideologies where DEI advocates "pretend that they are God" by meddling in society.

Kargas defended DEI programs, referring to a popular graphic which portrays two images of three people of different heights trying to view a baseball game over a fence.

Texas Dem Suggests Black People Shouldn't Pay Taxes As Form Of Reparations: 'Puts Money Back In Your Pocket'

(Fox News) — A House Democrat recently suggested that Black Americans should be exempt from paying taxes as a form of reparations, but she admitted that the plan may not be a success as many within the community who are poor "aren’t really paying taxes in the first place."

The comments from Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, came during her appearance on an episode of the "Black Lawyers Podcast," which was released Tuesday.

During the interview with host J. Carter, Crockett recalled a proposal from a celebrity to exempt Black Americans from paying taxes, and said she thought to herself that it was "not necessarily a bad idea."

Though she could not remember which celebrity offered the proposal, Crockett said, "I'd have to think through it a lot. One of the things they propose is Black folk not have to pay taxes for a certain amount of time because, then again, that puts money back in your pocket."

Lori Lightfoot Hired To Investigate 'Worst Mayor
In America' Tiffany Henyard At $400 Per Hour

(NY Post) — The Illinois village of Dolton has voted in favor of a resolution to hire ex-Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to investigate its own leader, Tiffany Henyard, who is accused of misusing taxpayer funds and various other corrupt practices.

Lightfoot, who lost her re-election bid in a landslide last year, said she was “honored” to be tasked with the investigation of Henyard – Dolton’s self-proclaimed “Super Mayor.”

“As someone who has made good governance the cornerstone of my career in public service, I recognize that maintaining the trust of those you serve and making decisions in their best interests is essential,” Lightfoot said in a statement Monday evening.

“The residents of Dolton deserve nothing less than a government that is fully accountable, responsive, transparent, and effective stewards of taxpayer dollars.”

Instagram Will Blur Nude Images Sent
To Teens To Curb Sextortion

(Daily Wire) — Instagram will start automatically blurring nude photos sent via private messaging for account holders younger than 18, per an announcement from its parent company, Meta.

In addition to blurring images containing nudity, the popular social media platform will prompt users “to think twice before sending nude images.” The app will also show a notification to adult users, encouraging them to turn the feature on for their accounts.

The new feature is likely a response to increased public pressure from critics who say social media companies should be doing more to protect children from online harm. Meta also said the feature would help protect minors from “sextortion,” or the practice of scammers sending nude images to children in an effort to get them to send photos back.

Natalee Holloway's Killer Joran van der Sloot
Jumped By 2 Inmates In Peru Prison Beatdown

(Fox News) — Joran van der Sloot, the Dutch national who brutally killed Alabama 18-year-old Natalee Holloway during her class trip to Aruba as a high school senior in 2005, has been pummeled in a remote Peruvian prison, where he previously boasted of conjugal visits with multiple women.

The 36-year-old murderer is locked up in Peru for the 2010 death of Stephany Flores, the daughter of a Peruvian business magnate whom he killed in her father's casino five years to the day after Holloway's murder.

The motive of the attack is unclear, according to the New York Post, which first reported the beating, but two inmates jumped him in a prison common area before guards stepped in. Medics reportedly treated him for cuts and bruises and sent him back to the general population.

Van der Sloot's lawyer, Lima's Maximo Altez, blasted the claims.

"He's fine," he told Fox News Digital. "It's 'fake news.'"

New York Pediatrician's Daughter Says Airstream Trailer
Had 'Safety Oversight' In Fatal Mishap

(Fox News) — The daughter of a Long Island pediatrician who was fatally flung from an Airstream over the weekend said a "significant oversight" in the trailer's design contributed to the tragic accident.

Horrified motorists saw Dr. Monika Woroniecka, 58, cling for dear life to the door handle of the family's trailer before she lost her grip and struck her head on the shoulder of State Route 12E in Watertown on Saturday, New York State Police said in a release.

"They were going for an Airbnb in Cape Vincent to see the eclipse. They stopped at an ice cream place about 20 minutes before they were going to get [there], that's when they decided to have the mother, the daughter and the daughter's boyfriend get in the back of the camper," Trooper Jack Keller told Fox News Digital.

"They were in the back in the camper, that's when the victim noticed the door ajar and tried to close it. She fell out and struck her head and ultimately succumbed to those injuries," Keller said.

Archaeologists Make 'stunning' Find
Of Banquet Hall In Pompeii

(Fox News) — A group of archaeologists excavating the doomed city of Pompeii found quite the surprise earlier this week: a banquet hall complete with paintings inspired by the Trojan War.

The discovery was announced earlier this week, The Associated Press noted.

The banquet hall and its mosaic floor were uncovered during a project to help prevent further demise of the ruins of Pompeii.

Pompeii was a bustling city near Naples until the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79. The volcano destroyed the entire city, killing thousands – yet left it remarkably preserved.

The city sat under a layer of volcanic ash for centuries until it was re-discovered in the 18th century, says the website for the Smithsonian.

U.S. Navy Warship Commander Mocked For
Holding Rifle With Scope Mounted Backward

(NY Post) — The commander of a US Navy warship is apparently a not-so-sharpshooter.

A commanding officer of the USS John S. McCain, an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, was mocked online after he was photographed holding an assault weapon with its scope mounted backward as he took aim at a target known as a “killer tomato.”

Cmdr. Cameron Yaste “observes the live-fire exercise event. The ship is in U.S. 7th Fleet conducting routine operations,” read a caption posted by Defense Visual Information Distribution Service alongside an image of him holding up the weapon with the Trijicon VCOG scope installed backward while pointed at a large target balloon.

(UPI) — The owner of a Kansas bakery is asking customers to eat their cookies carefully after she lost the $4,000 diamond from her ring in the dough.

Dawn "Sis" Monroe, owner of Sis Sweets Cookies & Café in Leavenworth, said the diamond fell off the ring that has been on her finger for 36 years at some point while she was at the shop.

"We kinda went back to the kitchen and looked around," Monroe told KMBC-TV.

Monroe said she fears the gem ended up in the cookie dough. "If you happened find it, I would forever be in debt if you would return it," she wrote on the business' Facebook page.
