Philadelphia's LGBT Office Chief Arrested In
Video Mayor Calls 'Very Concerning'

(Fox News) — Philadelphia’s executive director of the Office of LGBT Affairs and her husband were arrested over the weekend in a video the mayor described as "very concerning."

"A Pennsylvania State Police Trooper executed a car stop on the Vine Street Expressway in Philadelphia, reportedly for a Motor Vehicle Code violation. Celena Morrison, the City’s executive director of the Office of LGBT Affairs, was in the vehicle that was stopped," Mayor Cherelle Parker posted on X Saturday.

"A video circulating on social media that depicts a portion of the incident is very concerning to me, and I will have no further comment until the investigation has been completed," she added.

Video footage posted to social media and reportedly recoreded by Morrison shows a Pennsylvania State Trooper standing over Morrison’s husband, identified as Darius McLean, on the shoulder of I-76 as Morrison shouts, "That’s my husband!"

New Obstruction Of Justice Crimes Levied Against
Sen. Bob Menendez In Rewritten Indictment

NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez and his wife face new charges that they obstructed justice while they were being investigated over allegations that they accepted bribes of gold bars, cash and a luxury car from three favor-seeking New Jersey businessmen.

The obstruction charges were added Tuesday to a rewritten indictment returned against the Democrat and his wife, Nadine.

In a statement, the senator called the additions “a flagrant abuse of power.” “I am innocent and will prove it no matter how many charges they continue to pile on,” Menendez said.

The new allegations – part of what is now an 18-count indictment – are related to gifts prosecutors say the couple received from Jose Uribe, who pleaded guilty to bribery charges last week and agreed to testify in the corruption case.

During his court appearance Friday, Uribe had described working with Nadine Menendez in 2022 and 2023 to mislead federal prosecutors about a luxury Mercedes-Benz sedan he had purchased for her.

Rare Gray Whale, Extinct In The Atlantic For
200 Years, Spotted Near Nantucket

(NBC News) — A gray whale extinct from the Atlantic for more than 200 years was spotted off New England last week in an “incredibly rare event,” the New England Aquarium said.

The whale was spotted Friday 30 miles south of Nantucket, Massachusetts, diving and resurfacing, appearing to feed, the aquarium said in a news release.

The aquarium’s aerial survey team circled the whale’s area for about 45 minutes and took photos, and it later confirmed it was indeed a rare gray whale.

“My brain was trying to process what I was seeing, because this animal was something that should not really exist in these waters,” research technician Kate Laemmle, who was in the survey plane, said in a statement. “We were laughing because of how wild and exciting this was – to see an animal that disappeared from the Atlantic hundreds of years ago!”

This New City Of Tucson Mobile Program Offers Free Showers For The Community's Unsheltered

(This is Tuscon) — Taking a shower is something most Tucsonans don’t think twice about.

They can start their days and end their nights with this simple act of personal hygiene. But for some of Tucson’s unsheltered, it could be days, weeks or even months before they know when their next shower will be.

A City of Tucson Housing and Community Development program wants to change that.

The City of Tucson HCD’s new portable shower trailer offers warm showers for free to individuals experiencing homelessness (and others going through a tough time).

The five-person mobile shower trailer moves around town daily to help underserved communities.
