Federal Judge Rules On New Arizona Voting Laws
Requiring Proof Of Citizenship

(Fox News) — A federal judge is upholding new Arizona laws that would require registered voters to provide proof of U.S. citizenship in order for their votes to be counted.

Arizona legislators faced accusations of discrimination when they adopted the laws requiring counties to verify the status of registered voters but, in a ruling Thursday, U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton ruled that such requirements were not discriminatory.

Bolton said the state has an interest in preventing voter fraud and limiting voting to those individuals eligible to vote.

"Considering the evidence as a whole, the court concludes that Arizona’s interests in preventing non-citizens from voting and promoting public confidence in Arizona’s elections outweighs the limited burden voters might encounter when required to provide (documentary proof of citizenship)," the judge wrote.

Justice Alito Temporarily Halts Boy Scouts'
$2.46 Billion Sexual Abuse Settlement

(Just the News) — Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito on Friday temporarily halted the Boy Scouts of America's $2.46 billion sexual abuse settlement after a small group of claimants sought to block the settlement.

The number of claimants seeking to block the settlement is only 144 out of the 82,000 people who filed claims for payment in the organization's bankruptcy. They have asked the court to halt the settlement, arguing that it prevents them from filing other lawsuits against organizations that have not gone bankrupt, including churches that ran Boy Scout programs, according to Fox News.

Alito issued the pause "pending further order of the undersigned or of the Court."

One of the lawyers representing 67 of the 144 claimants told Reuters that they are excited about the issued stay, even though it is just temporary.

Migrant Shelter Plan For One Of Boston's Most
Expensive Neighborhoods Making Some Furious

BOSTON (CBS News) — Some residents of Fort Point in the Seaport are outraged about a plan to open an emergency overflow shelter for migrants in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Boston.

They were angry and frustrated at a community meeting Tuesday night because they didn't get a lot of answers.

"How is it a done deal when you cannot answer these questions," a resident said at the meeting.

Fuming neighbors grilled state officials about the 80 migrants who will call 24 Farnsworth Street a temporary home. The office space owned by the Unitarian Universalist Association will be turned into the latest overflow shelter. In January, the Cass Recreational Complex in Roxbury was flipped from a community center to a shelter.

U.S. Reportedly Using New Technology
To Combat Terrorists In Middle East

(Fox News) — The U.S. is increasing its use of AI technology on the battlefield, most recently in helping the U.S. strike targets in the Middle East, according to a new report.

In the latest round of airstrikes, coalition forces led by the U.S. targeted eight locations, which included underground weapons storage facilities, missile storage facilities, one-way attack unmanned aerial systems, air defense systems, radars and a helicopter, to disrupt the capabilities of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, according to the Pentagon.

As the U.S. has ramped up retaliatory strikes against terrorist groups in the region, it is using complex artificial intelligence and machine learning to launch precision targets on enemy groups.

The military is using computer vision algorithms to identify enemy targets in the Middle East, according to a report from Bloomberg. The report quoted Schuyler Moore, chief technology officer for U.S. CENTCOM, who was discussing its use during the strikes.

Washington Road Sign Hacked To Warn Of
 'Angry Raccoons Ahead'

(UPI) — The owner of an electronic road sign in Washington said a message warning drivers about "Angry Raccoons Ahead" was the work of pranksters.

The sign at the side of Spokane's Northwest Boulevard, near Audubon Park, displayed the perplexing message during the Wednesday morning commute, and city Public Works Department officials said they had no information on the sign – or of any angry raccoon activity in the area.

Mike Beggs, co-owner of Spokane Traffic Control, which was contracted by Public Works to provide the sign for a construction project, said the sign was hacked by unknown pranksters.

Beggs said someone twisted the lock on the back of the sign open and was able to access its controls to change the displayed message.

PTF Calls On Congress To Investigate
Podesta Corruption In LNG Ban

(Power the Future) — John Podesta was recently made Biden’s new climate czar, and his family seems to benefit from his new title. Podesta played a significant role in President Biden’s recent liquefied natural gas (LNG) decision to halt approvals of LNG exports. Now, Podesta’s brother is benefiting from this decision.

The Washington Free Beacon reports, “Biden administration climate envoy John Podesta was behind the administration’s decision to pause U.S. liquefied natural gas exports. His brother Tony Podesta could reap the benefits as a longtime lobbyist for foreign Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) companies – including one founded by a Russian energy oligarch.”

We urge the House Energy and Commerce Committee to investigate John Podesta and his role in the LNG decision.

“When Joe Biden attacks American energy, foreign producers reap the financial benefits, and now it looks like his friends and staff could be getting a cut, too” said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future. “For years, Joe Biden has blamed record gas prices and skyrocketing inflation on Putin, but it’s decisions like these from the White House that truly enrich foreign producers. House Republicans in the Energy and Commerce Committee would be wise to immediately investigate Podesta’s role in this sordid scheme because the American families footing the bill deserve answers. If you’re concerned about ’10 percent for the big guy,’ you should be equally alarmed by these shenanigans.”

Why Going Woke Makes Your Business Go Broke

(RWN) — Most people think the phrase “get woke, go broke” is all about prominently liberal companies turning off their more conservative customers. Of course, that does happen. Remember when Gillette decided to give a snobby lecture to its customers about bullying and toxic masculinity?

That got a lot of attention. What didn’t get as much attention is the company’s share of the razor market dropped to its lowest level since 2005 afterward. A lot of people, myself included, were insulted enough by the ad that they stopped buying Gillette Razors. That added up to 350 million dollars worth of sales vaporized.

Could that be what’s happening with the NFL and NBA? That certainly seems possible. Since unpatriotic NFL and NBA players started protesting the flag, both leagues have seen two constants. The first is consistently lower ratings and the second is liberals blaming it on everything under the sun OTHER THAN the leagues getting woke.

When Target made a big, splashy announcement that it wanted transgender customers to use whatever bathroom they wanted, the blowback was so ferocious they ended up paying to install gender-neutral bathrooms in all of their stores (which is what critics initially suggested). In other words, they had to spend large amounts of money to create a workaround for the public relations nightmare created by their woke policy. Meanwhile, there are still tens of millions of Americans that have a negative opinion of Target because of it.
