 Catholic Bishop Reaffirms Durbin's Ban
From Receiving Holy Communion

(WFB) — The Roman Catholic Bishop of Springfield, Ill. reaffirmed a ban preventing Sen. Dick Durbin (D., Ill.) from receiving holy communion within the diocese following the senator's vote against a bill to ban late-term abortions.

Springfield Bishop Thomas John Paprocki made the announcement last week that Durbin was not permitted to receive communion inside the diocese, which is where Durbin lives, until he repents his sin, Aleteia reports.

The Pain-Capable Unborn Children's Act, which failed to pass the Senate in January, would have banned abortions starting at 20 weeks after fertilization.

"Because his voting record in support of abortion over many years constitutes 'obstinate persistence in manifest grave sin,' the determination continues that Sen. Durbin is not to be admitted to Holy Communion until he repents of this sin," Paprocki said. "This provision is intended not to punish, but to bring about a change of heart."

Best-Selling Moonbat Author Mistakes Norwegian Flag Flying Near Her Seattle Home As A Confederate Flag

(WZ/Seattle Times) — A story about the times we live in, and assumptions we can make in our current political climate.

The news tip a few days ago said:

"Hi. Suddenly there is a Confederate flag flying in front of a house in my Greenwood neighborhood. It is at the north-east corner of 92nd and Palatine, just a block west of 92nd and Greenwood Ave N. I would love to know what this 'means' … but of course don't want to knock on their door. Maybe others in the area are flying the flag? Maybe it's a story? Thank you."

It was from Rebecca Morris, who is an author of The New York Times best-seller true-crime books.

So, of course, we drove to that corner.

There was no wind, and on a flagpole there was what obviously was the U.S. flag at the top, and below, a red flag with blue stripes.

Russia Tests New Stealth Fighter
 Over War-Weary Syrian Skies

(Wash Times) — Russia's most advanced combat warplane, the Su-57 stealth fighter, appears to have begun trial missions over the war-weary Syrian skies.

On Thursday, unverified video footage posted on social media by Syrian political activists showed a pair of new Su-57s being escorted by more conventional Su-35 fighter jets and four Su-25 strike aircraft.

The single-seat, twin-engine planes were allegedly filmed nearby Russia's Khmeimim Air Base near the southeastern city of Latakia along the Mediterranean coastline and employ state-of-the-art stealth technology to avoid radar detection. They were developed to challenge the U.S. F-22 Raptor – and have been called the "F-22 killer."

While the new aircraft made its maiden flight last December, military analysts reacted with surprise to Thursday's sighting, which neither Russian or Syrian officials have officially confirmed.

Heckler Confronts Pelosi Over Her Wealth:
'How Much Are You Worth, Nancy?'

(Amer Mirror) — House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi stopped in Phoenix Tuesday to discuss how the "disastrous" tax cuts approved by Congress last year are impacting working families and talk trash about President Trump's proposed budget.

But Pelosi's hypocritical comments were apparently too much for one heckler, who called the wealthy career politician out for her duplicity at the Arizona Center for Economic Progress.

"These issues about the tax cuts and then the cuts to initiatives that help people, that's part of the budget. The national budget should be a statement of our national values, what is important to us as a nation," Pelosi preached. "Which makes us strong and builds for the future should be reflected in our budget.

"But what we have seen here is the complete opposite," she claimed. "So this isn't about Democrats or Republicans. This is about the United States of America and our children's future. …

Absurd! Revolutionary War Reenactment Canceled
Due To Elk Grove Gun Law

ELK GROVE, CA (CBS13) — A war was lost before it ever could begin, according to local historians who were hoping to fire up a mock battle.

The Elk Grove Historical Society planned a Revolutionary War reenactment for more than a year and has had similar events in the past, but it's now forced to cancel the event because of local gun laws.

The group had already printed up flyers to market the mock battle, hoping to draw in 3,000 people for the two-day event at a regional park.

Nude Cellphone Photos, Deleted Chats May Show Evidence Of Crime In Democrat Mayor Megan Barry Affair

(The Tennessean) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says it has obtained nude photos of a woman taken on the phone of former Sgt. Rob Forrest, evidence that investigators believe shows Nashville Mayor Megan Barry engaged in an affair with her former bodyguard while he was on duty.

The photos are referenced in an affidavit in support of a search warrant that Nashville Judge Steve Dozier signed Tuesday seeking access to the contents of Barry's cellphone. It was filed in the Criminal Court Clerk's office Thursday.

The TBI obtained a search warrant and took possession of Barry's phone Friday, the records show. The mayor and her attorney have refused to share the pass code to unlock it, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit cites explicit images of a woman's body found on Forrest's phone that appear to be taken while he was on out-of-town trips with the mayor.
